The curve gradient diagrams for the ARTC network are available for download. Remote desert routes are also good candidates as they do not require a lot of unique scenery items. It is a modern line with consistent route architecture which allows reuse of components. The route is predominantly flat and fast running commuter line. Either way this cuts down on the rolling stock requirements. The older A-Series trains are sometimes, but rarely in my experience, seen on this route. The route is passenger only and predominantly only one type of train (the B-Series), in 3 or 6 car sets run on it. Most of the line has is flanked by a freeway on either side with trees and sound barriers so you don't have issues with large vistas over the entire route. You have Perth city in the route but that part of the line is mostly underground so there is less close up detail modelling of the city itself required. Adding the Mandurah line (or a part of it) would also be an option to offer some added scenery diversity. I have often thought that the Perth to Joondalup line in would be a good candidate for a route.
